Our History

Our History

Discover the rich history of Turney Methodist Church, established in 1845. Our church has a long-standing presence in the community, serving and connecting with those around us. Located at the corner of South Ridge Street and H Highway, we are a warm and welcoming congregation.

From our humble beginnings in a log home, we have undergone many changes and transformations. We are proud of our history and the connections we have made in the community. Today, under the leadership of Pastor Joe Hendren, we continue to grow and evolve.

In addition to Sunday services at 9:00am in-person or via livestream, our church is home to various groups and committees, including the Women's Society and the Men's Group Breakfast, serving and connecting with church families and the wider community. We are also proud to host Turney Baby Grace, a community outreach program that provides essential baby items to families in need.

We invite you to explore our website, learn more about our history and community programs, and discover the warm and welcoming community that awaits you at Turney Methodist Church. Whether you're seeking a church home or just passing by, we welcome you to join us on a Sunday morning. You will be truly blessed.
